Dr. Gordon serves as the Director of Biological and Immunological Therapies and Chairman of the NIH-approved Institutional Biosafety Committee at Sarcoma Oncology Center. Dr. Gordon's illustrious career is marked by numerous accomplishments and groundbreaking contributions to the field of pediatric hematology-oncology. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, she served as a Tenured Associate Professor at the USC Keck School of Medicine for 24 years, earning the title of Professor Emeritus.
Dr. Gordon's pioneering work includes co-inventing over 150 patents in biomedical research, pioneering the first targeted gene delivery system for cancer in the USA, Europe, and the Philippines.
Throughout her career, Dr. Gordon has authored over 100 original peer-reviewed articles and held esteemed positions such as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.
She has also directed prominent programs, including the Red Cell Defects Program and the NIH-funded Comprehensive Hemophilia Center at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
As a founder of two biotechnology companies and a trailblazer in targeted gene therapy products, Dr. Gordon has left an indelible mark on cancer drug development. Notably, she served as Chief Medical Officer of Epeius Biotechnologies Corporation, where her leadership resulted in FDA orphan drug approval and fast-track designation for various cancers, including pancreatic cancer, soft tissue sarcoma, and osteosarcoma.

I appreciate the opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Erlinda Gordon for her development of Rexin G targeted gene therapy. In 2006, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer and underwent surgery, followed by 18 months of chemotherapy and radiation. In 2008, my pancreatic cancer recurred. The clinical trial for Regxin G saved my life, and gave me an exceptional quality of life for 16 years. My deepest appreciation to Dr. Gordon for the opportunity she gave me and to so many others.
When it appeared my Mom’s cancer was returning, her oncologist said he could only offer her more chemo, which she declined.
