Dr. Rekha Baby is the Associate Director of Clinical Research and the Program Director of Research at Sarcoma Oncology. She is an accomplished Radiation Oncologist with 8+ years of experience in clinical practice and research. She studied at MSR Medical College in Bangalore, India, where she received her MD in Radiation Oncology, and then went on to work as a Consultant Radiation Oncologist at the Curie Center of Oncology, St. John’s Hospital in Bangalore, India. Her experience is focused in investigation, diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients using current practice guidelines and state of the art technology, along with long term follow up surveillance and monitoring for outcome. She has profound clinical research experience in Oncology, resulting in 5 publications, 1 book chapter, and 1 national poster presentation with publications in reputed journals such as International Journal of Radiation Oncology Biology Physics and several others. Before coming to Sarcoma Oncology Center, Dr. Baby worked as a Clinical Research Assistant at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, as well as a Clinical Assistant at Radiation Oncology Associates, Inova Schar Cancer Institute in Fairfax, Virginia, where she held pivotal roles in assisting with patient care and organizing and managing patient data in the Radiation Oncology Department.
